Get Your Vaccination Done!

If we think of any virus now in 2021, the first thing that comes to our mind is the "corona virus". Covid-19 originated in China Wuhan in 2019 is still a threat, taking many lives in India. India has already been hit by the first wave, the second wave and is now preparing for the third wave. Covid-19 attacks on therespiratory tract of a person. The airway that includes our mouth, nose, throat and lungs. So, to protect ourselfs from this dangerous virus several attempts has been made since 2019 to make an efficient vaccine. Finally, from the late 2020 onwards the vaccines were available for the locals to be used in India.

For getting the vaccine one need to first register themself in the Cowin application or the Aarogya Setu app . And then book a slot. In government health-care centres the vaccines are free whereas in some private hospital they are a charging a little fee.

Vaccines available in India:

1. Covishield - According to the government data, the Covishield vaccine efficiency percentage of 80% has been in patients after taking it's two doses. It has been approved by the Health Department, Government of India. The vaccine is available to everyone above the age of 18.

Side effects:

Some common side effects can be seen in many patients such as tenderness, heat, fever, itching, swelling and redness only at the where the vaccine had been applied.

2. Covaxin - If you apply it in a phase 3 trial , it will have an efficiancy rate of 78% to 80%. This vaccine is also available for everyone above the age of 18.

Side effects:

Swelling and redness at the palce of injection, dizziness, weakness, sometimes there may be difficulty in breathing, fever, headache, nausea and vomitings.

3. Pfizer-BioNTech - These are the first vaccines approved for use in humans that incorporate mRNA technology. It has the highest efficiancy rate of 95%. This vaccine is not easily available in India.

Side Effects:

Fever, fatigue, headache, body aches, chills and nausea.

Government has made it mandatory to get vaccinated. So, go get your first jab of COVID-19 vaccine done.
