Schizphrenia is a chronic mental disorder which includes hallucinations, delusions, disorganized speech, troubled thinking and lack of motivation. Studies have shown that both men and women are affected equally by schizophrenia but generally, males have early onset. People with schizophrenia die early compared to general population because it is assosciated with other medical conditions, like, heart disease and diabetes. There is not much research conducted in the past years on the causes and treatments of schizophrenia but experts are unraveling the causes and working on innovative treatment options.
