With a U.S. government shutdown now extending into a second month, the FDA still manages to approve a third biosimilar for Herceptin known as Ontruzant. Plus, more recall updates are posted for the large class of blood pressure meds known as ARBs. Published studies look at other issues: aspirin use in healthy seniors, a new class of type 2 diabetes drug, and how treatment centers are addressing the ongoing opioid epidemic.
