I am getting lower leg swelling. I used some ointments of uncle it started burning so i stopped, What can I do.
Are you using amlodipine for hypertension?
Are you using amlodipine drug? If yes, then leg swelling might be due to it. It is a common side effect of that drug.
If not then it might relate to other problems. If you are getting shortness of breath along with this swelling then immediately consult a physician it might be due to hearts improper function.
Decrease your salt and water intake.
keep 2 pillows under your legs while sleeping.
Dont use any ointment without doctors prescription.
For swollen legs, try to reduce works. Dont give many movements to your leg. Take complete rest.
Do have ice packs or cold /hot compress to reduce pain
If available take epsom salt in water and give massage to your legs.
Do reduce your salt intake.
Also for pain use diclofenac ointment.
Consult with doctor if it is not recovered.
